Steve Guerdat provisional suspension's is lifted

Steve Guerdat has issued a press release stating he is relieved and happy about the FEI decision to lift the provisional suspension against him. At the same time, however, he regrets that due to the current FEI Rules applicable the provisional suspension against his two horses is maintained.

Guerdat and his team will put every effort in the further ongoing process of the FEI investigation to provide as soon as possible the evidence for the mentioned food contamination as the cause of the positive findings, in order to suggest the lifting of the suspensions also for the horses before the FEI Tribunal.

Guerdat had been provisionally suspended after horses on which they were competing tested positive for prohibited substances, including banned substances.

Samples taken at the CSIO5* at La Baule (FRA) on 17 May from the horse Nino des Buissonnets (FEI ID FRA45550), ridden by Steve Guerdat, returned positive for the banned substances Codeine and Oripavine, and the controlled medication substance Morphine.

Edward Gal Has a New Ride

"He’s a horse with incredible potential! Simply perfect for a future star of the dressage arena. I’m very happy”, said jubilant GLOCK Rider Edward Gal. Because from today he will have a new dressage ace in his stables: GLOCK's Sir Schenkenberg.

This nine-year-old son of Sir Donnerhall I x Larome, bred in Germany, is not merely the possessor of a noble and promising blood-line in his pedigree. This expressive and powerful gelding has also been able to achieve some very good results under his trainer Jochen Vetters (GER).

Zandor is Back

After a long break, Zandor is now back to training. The KWPN gelding trains under the guidance of his long time friend, Ferry Wahyu Hadiyanto.

It was almost a year since Zandor did his last competition. Ferry who just got back from SEA Games Singapore hopes that the 11 years old gelding can reach his maximum performance in months to come.

“I really miss him. Together I have won many competitions like the World Cup Qualifier. He’s fresh but I will start the training slowly. I’m pretty sure Zandor will regain his ability,” said Ferry.

Zandor is one of the best show jumper that Indonesia has. In 2011, he got one gold and one bronze medal in SEA Games. In 2012, he again shows what a talented horse he is by winning SEA League World Cup Qualifier (145 cm).

In 2014, the gelding by Concorde - Wisconsin collected two winnings and placed four times before rested because of hoof problems.



Sharmini Grabs Individual Jumping Gold

Malaysia took the last gold in equestrian SEA Games 2015. It was Sharmini Ratnasingham who showed a flawless performance at Singapore Turf Club (10/6).

The Malaysian had a double clear round at the show jumping individual. With her mount Arcado L, Sharmini clocked 35.90 seconds. Slightly faster than the silver medalist Catherine Chew/Coquira (SIN) who finished with the time 36.69 seconds.

There was also jump off for bronze medal. It was between Sailub Lertratanachai (THA) and Predrag Marjanovic (SIN). Sailub outpaced Predrag and finished in 44.93 seconds. Predrag clocked 51.73 seconds.

For Sailub, the bronze medal is her second in this SEA Games. With Thailand, Sailub also grabbed bronze in team jumping.
