New Year, new regulations! Yes, starting from 2019 there will be new national and international regulations in the equestrian industry. Here\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a quick review of what 2019 will bring for breeders, riders and horse owners:<\/p>\n

Since 1 January 2019 there have been diverse changes in regards to the Anti-Doping and Medical Control regulations (ADMR).\u00c2 \u00c2 The groundwork of this matter was based on the suggestions of the ADMR-List-Group, a group that consists of various experts, such as vets, pharmacologist, and Biochemists.<\/p>\n

Here\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s an overview of the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Do\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s and Don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ts\u00e2\u20ac\u009d for the start of the competition season 2019:<\/p>\n

What\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s allowed:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.\u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 rice bran oil<\/p>\n

2.\u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 Sulfur based joint supplements<\/p>\n

3.\u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 Cyclosporin A oder\u00c2 Ciclosporin<\/p>\n

4.\u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 Phoxim<\/p>\n

What is not allowed:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.\u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 Cobalt: This will be tested in the urine and blood plasma.<\/p>\n

2.\u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 Pergolid<\/p>\n

3.\u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 Clodronic Acid is not allowed during competition; however it is allowed for treatment when the horse is not competing.<\/p>\n

4.\u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 PAAG (Polyacrylamidhydrogelen)<\/p>\n

5.\u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 \u00c2 Baldrian<\/p>\n

International Changes<\/strong><\/p>\n

2018 was a turbulent and energetic year for the equestrian sport. The organizational debate at the Equestrian Games in Tryon, for example, where the endurance discipline was stopped and the Dressage Test was cancelled. Not only did this cause negative headlines, but it also led to the situation where there will be no World Equestrian Games in 2022 and instead the championships will be done individually.
