Cornet Obolensky's Grandsire Passed Away

Randel Z (v. Ramiro – Alme) passed away at the age of 31. He had been a successful jumper competitor with Ludo Philippaerts (Belgium). Two of his descendants belong to the world’s best jumpers, Cortes C placed third at the World Equestrian Games in Normandy with Beezie Madden.

Nector v.h. Carelshof won the World Cup freestyle in Berlin and placed well in the final in ‘s-Hertogenbosch with Ingrid Klimke. Further more, Randel Z is the grandsire of the dam of jumper producer Cornet Obolensky.

Randel Z himself did not do badly in the sport, either. In 1989 he jumped ten clear rounds out of twelve in the Belgian cycle for 5-yr-olds and finished in fifth place. That year he also finished fourth in the finals of the BC in Gesves.

Two years later he won the finals for 6- and 7-yr-olds in Bavikhove and also that year’s stallion competition of Jumping Mechelen. Then he moved for a year to the showjumping stables of Ludo Philippaerts. There he won in short time, in Belgian competitions alone, more than 100,000 Belgian francs under Ludo and Danny Verheyen.

Welcome Kannan's Colt

What a way to start June, Anke delivered a gorgeous chestnut colt. It’s the one we have been waiting for, a Kannan colt.

We named him Kirrie Kannan. His mother Anke (by Abke) is the half sister of the famous Codex One. Codex One has first made a name for himself in 2004 where he was the top selling horse at the Hanoverian Spring Elite Auction. He was sold as a licensed stallion at Euro 170000. In 2007, he placed in the finals of the Hanoverian State Championship and in the Bundeschampionate in Warendorf.

It was in 2010 when Codex One took the international jumper scene by placing second under Karl Brocks at the CSI4* Indoor Grossen Preis von Frankfurt a.M. Following those achievements, the stallion moved to the stables of German Olympic rider Christian Ahlmann who then developed the stallion’s skills and talents and had great success with him. One of Ahlmann’s and Codex One’s biggest highlights was when they won the Grand Prix in Aachen in 2014.

Kannan needs no introduction. Kannan is the current WBFSH number one jumping stallion. In 2011, he was the WBFSH number 8 eventing stallion. No other stallion has ever made this achievement.

New Foals, New Hope

We are very delighted to see firsthand our new collection in Schwarme. Three promising foals that we bought now join our older horses at the same stable.

We have Sir Deniro, Sir Donnerhall I – De Niro – Rubinstein I. Big bonned with a good character. Sir Deniro inherits the movement of his sire, Sir Donnerhall I who has been popular as a sire of auction horses for years and he regularly delivers top horses selling for six-figure prices.

Sir Deniro halfbrother, Seneca (by Stedinger) is a premium stallion  and sold at 110.000 Euro.

Then there is Don Dancier, a gorgeous colt by Dancier – Donnerhall – Lauries Crusador. He is well build with noble eyes ready to face the future. In the damline you can find Daimler, Royal Flash and Di Caprio who competes/d in advance dressage.

Last but not least is First Lady by Furstbischof – De Niro - Ordensglanz. This is our future queen actually. She was a champion at the foal show. Her sire, Furstbischof has a beautiful type  that everyone is looking in a dressage horse.

First Lady came from a good damline. Her dam produced foals that very likeable in the auction. First Lady’s half brother Sir Wester, by Soliman De Hus, was sold at 58.000 Euro in 2009. In the damline there is Di Nero (by De Niro) who is a hanoverian premium stallion of 2010.

Bertram Allen Wins World Breeding Jumping Championship

Last year Bertram Allen won the FEI World Breeding Jumping Championship for 6 year olds (21/9) with Barnike (Baldwin B x Animo). This year the young couple repeated their win in Lanaken, taking home the championship final for 7 year old horses after two convincing clear rounds - also the only double clear round of the final.

Christian Ahlmann made it to the podium once again - ending second - with the Zangersheide gelding Casuality Z (Cassini II x Chellano Z). Casuality Z has a lot of experience from the World Championships finals, doing his third one today. Christian Ahlmann was the fastest rider of those ending the jump-off on four faults.

The bronze medal went to Niklas Arvidsson with the Swedish Warmblood stallion Hasard (Heartbeat x Voltaire) - also he with four faults in the jump-off. (World of Show Jumping).
