The Equestrian Champions League (ECL) Series 5 was again held at the APM Equestrian Center in 29-30 August 2020 for the dressage class and 4-6 September 2020 for the show jumping class. Same as the ECL Series 3 and Series 4, ECL Series 5 also had a strict Covid-19 health protocol. Although the number of participants and visitors who are allowed to enter the venue was limited, those who are interested in the show can watch the matches via online streaming on KONI’s television station, KONI TV (amtv.id). In ECL Series 5 there are 15 classes which were contested, six classes of dressage and nine classes of show jumping. For dressage, the classes which were contested include LD 1 (Preliminary German Test U-14), LD 2 (Preliminary FEI U-18), LD 3 (Elementary Open), LD 4 (Medium Open), LD 5 (Advance Open) and LD 6 (Prix St. Georges). Meanwhile, for the show jumping class, the classes which are being contested are LSJ 1 (Show Jumping 100 cm Open), LSJ 2 (Show Jumping 110 cm Open), LSJ 3 (Show Jumping 110-120 cm Open), LSJ 4 (Show Jumping 70 cm U-14), LSJ 5 (Show Jumping 90 cm U-18), LSJ 6 (Young Rider 100 cm U-21), LSJ 7 (Show Jumping 120 cm Open), LSJ 8 (Show Jumping 130 cm Open) and LSJ 9 (Show Jumping 140 cm Open).
Proceeding to the winners of each class, Equinara Horse Sports young athlete, Aleeya Herlambang with the horse Milady managed to be the best in LD 1, placing first. Furthermore, the champion of the LD 2 class is Muhammad Akbar Kurniawan with his horse Camelias from Kurnia Stable. Moving on to LD 3, Audirania Amanda Putri with the horse Simply Fantastic from Aragon Equestrian Sport secured the first place in the Elementary Open class. Then for LD 4 Gendhis Anjali with the horse Jazz Around managed to become the champion in the Medium Open class. Continuing with the LD 5 and LD 6 classes, the Aragon Equestrian Sport athlete, Jolfie Momongan, with the horse Jazz Around succeed to secure first place in those two classes.
Next, for the show jumping class, for the LSJ 1 Jamal Mewengkang with the horse Donitri von ZZ from ZZ Stable became the best in the Show Jumping 100 cm Open class. Then, for the LSJ 2 class, another ZZ Stable athlete, Steven Menayang with the horse Queen Alexandria secured the first place in the Show Jumping 110 cm Open class. Furthermore, for the Show Jumping 110-120 cm Open class which is a team match, the Drupadi team, consisting of Ferry Wahyu Hadiyanto with the horse Granadine from Equinara Horse Sports was paired with Alvaro Menayang with the horse All Right from NPC Elang 45 managed to become the best in the LSJ class 3. Moving on to the LSJ 4 Hans Hardany Kawilarang with the horse APM Nikita from APM Equestrian Center succeeded in winning the first place in the Show Jumping 70 cm U-14 class. Next, for the LSJ 5 the first place winner was won by the Highland Equestrian Center athlete, Iqbal Hermawan with his horse Nemo. Meanwhile, for the LSJ 6 Muhammad Akbar Kurniawan with the horse Braveheart from Kurnia Stable managed to be the best in the Young Rider 100 cm U-21 class. Switching to the Show Jumping 120 cm Open class, the Equinara Horse Sports athlete, Marco Wowiling with the horse Sabinna became the first winner in the LSJ 7 class. Then for the LSJ 8 class Steven Menayang with the horse Babriola from ZZ Stable managed to outperform the other participants in the Show Jumping 130 cm Open class. Last but not least, for the LSJ 9 class, Jendry Palandeng with horse DNV Charly Lalan from the DNV Equestrian Pamulang Center managed to secure the first place in the Show Jumping 140 cm Open class.
The Drupadi team won the LSJ 3 team competition class (Show Jumping 110-120 cm Open).
This team consists of Ferry Wahyu Hadiyanto with the horse Granadine from Equinara Horse Sports who was paired with Alvaro Menayang with the horse All Right from NPC Elang 45.
