KWPN takes the lead in World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses in Jumping and Dressage

Good news for the KWPN breeders: In dressage and showjumping the horses of the KWPN breeding federation are on top of the list of theWorld Breeding Federation for Sport Horses (WBFSH) in the beginning of 2018. The German breeding associations also have high placings in the list. Six best horses of each breeding association are rated for the WBFSH rankings.

Show Jumping

For the KWPN Zinius v. Nabab de Reve under the Dutch rider Harrie Smolders was very successful in Mechelen and Bordeaux. He gained the best scores for the KWPN breeding association. Oldenburg International placed second on the list. Here Chaccano scored the most points. He has been successful since April under the Brazilian rider Rodrigo Lambre. Previously the stallion by Chacco Blue was also very successful under Henrik von Eckermann. Westfalen placed third on the list. Marcus Ehning’s Worldcup finalist, Cornado NRW v. Cornet Obolensky is the topscorer. The Holsteiner association ranked sixth, and the Hanoverians ranked 8th.

Dressage

The Dutch Dressage breeders are also on top in dressage. Jessica von Bredow-Werndl collected the highest scores with two of her horses Zaire and Unee BB. Also the stallion riding for Denmark Zack  (Daniel Bachmann-Andersen), and the World Cup finalists Cennin (Madeleine Witte-Vrees/NED) and Verdades (Laura Graves/USA) are products of the KWPN who helped secure the first position on the WBFSH list.

For dressage, the Hanoverians placed second. Salvino v. Sandro Hit, who had a great season in Florida, USA, is the topscorer. The Danish made it to third place and the Deutsche Sportpferd (DSP) made it to fourth place. Here, Dorothee Schneider and Sammy Davis jr. v. San Remo (Bavaria), who are currently ranking fifth in the world cup, scored the highest points.  Westphalia ranked fifth on the breeding list featuring Emilio of Isabel Werth and Oldenburg ranked sixth.
