Cosmolina

The beautiful bay mare Cosmolina is one of our top breeding mares. Her trademarks derive from an excellent pedigree. She is by Contendro I who is deemed an outstanding “trademark stallion” and operates among the world’s best show-jumping sires and leads the ranking of world’s best eventing sires. He received the premium award in 1999 in Holstein, won his stallion performance test in 2000, placed in the 2001 Holstein Riding-Horses Championships and was nominated for the National Championships. Since he was in great demand in breeding, Contendro I had actually no time to compete. Contendro’s offspring caused headlines all over the world. Among those was for example Codex One who won the world cup show-jumping competition in Stuttgart and also the Grand Prix in Aachen.

The damsire is Iberio who was approved in Marbach in 1993. He won the stallion performance test in 1994, where was awarded the score of 10.0 three times, for performance ability, predisposition for Show Jumping and in the guest rider’s score, putting him nearly 20 points ahead of the second placed competitor in the partial index for jumping. He was second in the rideability, out of 27 horses. Iberio had a successful career in Show Jumping, winning numerous S level events and becoming a derby specialist. Ridden by Sören von Rönne, Iberio was second in the 2001 German Show Jumping Derby, won the Derby in 2002, and was 11th and eighth respectively, on the world’s most difficult course in 2003 and 2004. Iberio’s progeny demonstrate the anticipated predisposition for Show Jumping and have already had successes up to M class.
