Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Andi Mallarangeng, provided his support over the Equestrian Federation of Indonesia (EFI) which will hold the third round of SEA League World Cup Qualifier (145 cm), on 9-10 June 2012 in Arthayasa Stables, Depok, West Java.
“Equestrian has a huge potential for success. More young riders should have proper trainings,” said Andi when welcoming Adinda Yuanita, Committee Chairperson. Adinda said riders must take advantage of the game by collecting as many World Cup points as possible to facing the final round in Thailand. “It’s an honor for us to host a number of games. We’re all hoping that nothing gets in the way. It’s like when we took the highest place during SEA Games 2011 with three golds,” said Adinda.
Adinda said it is important to provide better training for young riders so as to prepare them for international events in the years to come. In her opinion, Indonesia should not only focus on competing in the regional level of Southeast Asia. “I’d like to have young athletes to thriving more on higher levels. We’ll certainly have rewards for potential young athletes,” she said.
