What a way to start June, Anke delivered a gorgeous chestnut colt. It’s the one we have been waiting for, a Kannan colt.
We named him Kirrie Kannan. His mother Anke (by Abke) is the half sister of the famous Codex One. Codex One has first made a name for himself in 2004 where he was the top selling horse at the Hanoverian Spring Elite Auction. He was sold as a licensed stallion at Euro 170000. In 2007, he placed in the finals of the Hanoverian State Championship and in the Bundeschampionate in Warendorf.
It was in 2010 when Codex One took the international jumper scene by placing second under Karl Brocks at the CSI4* Indoor Grossen Preis von Frankfurt a.M. Following those achievements, the stallion moved to the stables of German Olympic rider Christian Ahlmann who then developed the stallion’s skills and talents and had great success with him. One of Ahlmann’s and Codex One’s biggest highlights was when they won the Grand Prix in Aachen in 2014.
Kannan needs no introduction. Kannan is the current WBFSH number one jumping stallion. In 2011, he was the WBFSH number 8 eventing stallion. No other stallion has ever made this achievement. In April 2015, two of Kannan’s progeny shined in World Cup final in Las Vegas. The World Cup winner Steve Guerdat rode Albfeuhren’s Paille (Kannan x Dollar du Murier ) and the third place Bertram Allen rode Molle Malone (Kannan x Cavalier). In 2012, Guerdat won the London Olympic also with Kannan’s progeny, Nino des Buissonnets.
Kannan’s competition successes have included winning the Belgian Classic Circuit at the age of 6 in 1998, becoming 7 year old Belgian Champion in 1999. In 2000 he made his International debut by finishing 5th in a Grand Prix. In 2003 Kannan won the Deauville Grand Prix and In 2004 Kannan won at Paris Bercy and Jardy as well as many other competition successes. He was a ragular member of the French team which won the Samsung Super League in 2003 & 2004. In 2005 he became French National Champion.
